Character Information
*Character Name: Chieftain (mass produced)
*Character Canon: Brave Police J-Decker
*Age: 2 Months old
*Race: Human Built Robot
*Timeline/Pull Point: Episode 47, just before actual death, after Super A.I. resonance
*History:
The Black Chieftains are a mass produced war build of Super A.I.s, designed and manipulated into being willing bullies and antagonists. Before the Super A.I. resonance, he was, while not devoid of morals, someone who had skewed moral values. He had no problems with the idea of England’s Brave Police fighting one another to the death, despite that this was the death of other Super A.I.s. It was not until his first personal contact with Yuuta Tomonaga that he started to feel any kind of change, but his proximity to Yuuta started to encourage a growth in his Super A.I.
He found himself hesitant to follow the commands he had not questioned before, unable to directly, willingly harm or upset Yuuta. While this was caused by his Super A.I. chip having been designed based off Kagerou’s, who in turn had his designed after Deckerd’s, the hesitation existed and began to make him question the right thing to do.
Once the resonance between the Super A.I.s all of the Black Chieftains in existence were exposed to the emotional and moral state of their own hearts. They found themselves completely free to choose their own path, uncontrolled by the Hamlen waves. It is at this time that the weight of their previous actions start to register for them. Unfortunately none of them have long to consider this as a human controlled mechanism called Mad Mother appears, being controlled by Eva Fahrzeug. After an attack from Mad Mother downs J-Decker Yuuta calls out in worry for him, as yet another attack is headed his way.
One of the Black Chieftains is quick to step in between J-Decker and Mad Mother. He takes the strike that had been meant for J-Decker, the force of it breaking his sword and slicing deep into his shoulder. The strike has fatal ramifications, though he does have a short time to express his sorrow at his own unkind actions, and a wish to have called Yuuta Tomonaga “Boss” before he sucumbs to the wound.
*Personality:
Black Chieftain is someone who places a lot of value on his family or companions, there is a uniform sense of loyalty and respect for other Super A.I.s. He is even willing to protect J-Decker only shortly after gaining his own full sentience. Though he is loyal and has a lot of respect for others he is has not lost his own self preservation. He does not display a lot of respect, even for Yuuta, though he does have some considerable affection for those he is connected to.
He has a urge to be a ‘cool’ guy, preferring to do something great before dying. He clearly has a solid idea of right and wrong, evaluating his own actions as a ‘terrible’ and regretting his actions. He wants to act toward redemption, though being so new to the world he is unlikely to know exactly what he should do to gain such redemption. He is still very fresh and has yet to form a lot of his own personality, though he seem to trend towards a friendly, relaxed personality with a goal of being cool or interesting. He is honest and genuine in his feelings, while he is unlikely to have an extremely high self worth, considering his origins.
*Powers/Abilities:
The Black Chieftain is four times the size of a standard Brave Police.
He is equip with back mounted thrusters, capable of flight and swimming.
He is capable of charging his katana with energy to shoot lazers.
He has an Automatic Rifle.
He is capable of self destructing in a way that will create some local damage.
Ingrained fighting ability
*Power Enhancements:
Increase to strength.
He is able to fight and move longer despite non lethal, but major, damage.
Area being affected by self destruction increases, as does the force of damage. Those who are right next to him would most likely become badly damaged even if they weren’t damaged before.
*Inventory:
Katana
Automatic Machine Gun
Writing Samples
*First Person Sample:
[The video starts with a rather grisly scene, there is a robot on the junk pile, oil leaking from a large gash in his shoulder, as he looks up the camera, oil also seeping from the corner of his mouth.]
Can someone tell me what this is?
[His speech is clear though a little slow as if he is searching for all the things to say, he also doesn’t move at all, though the wound is sparking dangerously.]
I don’t think I was good enough to go anywhere nice when I died. Is this some kind of strange kind of dream? I don’t suppose the kid, the Boss, is here, is he?
[He looks quite pitiful in his own way, though he is holding himself a proudly as he can, slowly dying on the junk pile.]
